Welcome to the PublicEarth Developers Network
Welcome to the new PublicEarth developers' web site. We have a new version of the API on the way that we'll be rolling out over the coming weeks, along with documentation and tutorials to get you going. You're welcome to poke around. Login using your PublicEarth.com username and password. If you don't have an account, head on over to our public web site and get yourself one. Once you've confirmed your account on PublicEarth, come back here and login (we're working on single sign-on).
Getting Started
For help, check out our online documentation for tips on using the API, as well as the fully documented API. We'll be adding tutorials, tips, sample code, and libraries for various languages (Ruby, Java, etc.) down the road.
Need Help?
We're currently using Google Groups for our forums. Sign up for a Google account, or use your existing Google login to join. Post any questions or bugs you may find and we'll see what we can do.
PublicEarth Widgets
If you're just getting started, maybe all you need is a PublicEarth map widget on your web site? Head back to the PublicEarth web site, save a few places to your PlaceBook™, then simply create a widget. All you need is a snippet of HTML on your site or blog, and you're ready to go with an embedded PublicEarth widget, complete with rich information about a variety of places.
